Dora was left in a drop box at the Granville County shelter with several other beagles. She has been sweet and docile ever since coming to the shelter and being picked up by TBR.
Dora loves to snuggle with her foster mom on the couch. She also likes to play with and chew rawhides. She is shy at first when being petted but enjoys gentle pats on the head and rubs on her belly once you get to know her.
With this cold weather she doesnt like to be outside very much. She gets her business done and wants to head back inside.
Dora was named through our Name A Dog Donation Program by Kelley Mills. Kelley wrote: “My first dog as an adult was a beagle named Isadora "Dora" Pilar Mills. She was the love of my life, and I lost her on August 10, 2017. When she crossed the rainbow bridge, I was sad, but I knew that God had sent her just for me to look over, cherish, and care for during her time here on earth. She taught me patience and love in a way that I hadn't ever really understood before. I hope that the dog that gets her namesake will bring the same amount of love and joy that she did to mine.”
