During this festive time we will be showcasing our “Twelve days of FOSTERS”. We invite you to virtually ‘meet’ some of our life saving fosters and we are hoping that their stories inspire you to join our team so that we can save even more beagles in 2016! If you are ready to join us in our mission, please fill out a foster application here: http://tribeagles.org/foster/
On the SECOND Day of FOSTERS the beagles would like you to meet………
Sarah lives in Raleigh, NC and has been fostering beagles for 10 months!
“I decided to become a foster because of my 12 year old rescue beagle, Jack. He has been my great friend and loyal companion for many years. I chose to foster beagles because of Jack’s demeanor. He’s patient, gentle, loving, and most of all- he is very goofy! All of my fosters so far have possessed those traits. My first foster dog was Buckeye, who came to the rescue as an owner surrender. He was thin and very sick, and also had several unhealed and infected dog bites hidden under his cost. He was terrified when I picked him up and couldn’t even look at me as I drove him home, but as soon as he saw Jack he immediately opened up into a happy, silly boy. Buckeye was extremely anemic from a severe hookworm infestation and had clearly been attacked by a dog in the recent past, but he was always affectionate and well behaved. Although helping him become healthy, house trained, and ready for adoption was sometimes challenging, the reward of finally seeing him adopted into a loving forever home was a greater reward than I could have imagined. That reward is what encourages me to continue to foster!”
Thank you Sarah for being a great foster to these homeless beagles!
